SEPHORA: LIP LINERS TO GO-NUDES

In February I have been only buying lip products, as I’ve decided I want to focus on different products in different months, so by the time my Makeup Collection video is up, I have the amount of products I would like.

GWEN STEFANI URBAN DECAY PALETTE

As most of you guys might know, a large part of my collection is made up of eyeshadow palettes. Recently I have found a new one which has become my everyday essential. It’s the Gwen Stefani Urban Decay palette. There are fifteen shades to choose from, which range from very light nudes, like Bathwater, to darker shades like Serious or Blackout. The colours are extremely easy to blend, and I’ve been loving creating shades in my crease with the shade Zone. Even though most of the colours are browns and neutral colours, there are some shades that really ‘pop’. Punk is a dark plum shade, which is absolutely beautiful with a dark lip. Harajuku is a glittery pink which actually goes really well with Danger, which is a glittery midnight blue. Then there’s 1987, which is a gold shimmery shade. My favourite shades are definitely Baby, Zone, Steady, Punk and 1987, but I’m determined to do a tutorial using Harajuku and Danger, to do a glittery bright eye. It’s a really good addition to any collection, especially as it includes neutral colours, but also some other shades that wouldn’t normally be included in a nude palette. Have you ever tried this palette?

MY FAVOURITE BRUSHES

Brushes are a big part of my makeup collection, especially as I hardly ever apply makeup with my fingers. I find that brushes are much better for a airbrushed look, and as my skin is really sensitive, it doesn’t get irritated. I have a few brushes that I want to share with you because I’m literally in looove. The first one is a Sephora Foundation Brush 56. It’s my everyday brush, mainly because of how soft it is, and how easy it makes applying any foundation.
The next brush is the Kiko Face Brush n 109. This brush, on the other hand, is a brush I do not recommend. I wanted to add it in here, as it’s one of the only brushes I’ve ever had, that I can’t stand. It has very hard bristles, and it irritates my skin.
Going back to brushes I adore we have the Real Techniques powder brush. I’m very sorry but I can’t remember the name of this brush, but it’s part of their core collection. I use this brush daily for my powder. Really it’s one of those things you need to try to see how good it is. And trust me, it’s good.
Next up we have the Kiko Eyes Brush n 205. This eyebrow brush is literally perfection. It’s great for ‘styling’ your eyebrows however you want them.
The last three of my favourite brushes are all Real Technique, and they’re three out of five of the original eye set. These are the best combination for a perfect smokey eye, or even as a everyday simple eye look. I use them on both  occasions, making them VERY used.
Remember, cleaning your brushes is a really important tip. I did a whole video on how I clean my makeup brushes here.
What are your favourite brushes? Love, Sara xx

MY LOVE FOR GLEE

Late last year i finally got round to watching one of the most famous tv shows ever: Glee. I was super late to join the thriving fanbase that had been there since the begging, so I thought I would just enjoy it by myself. I watched the first four series back to back in two months, enjoying two or three episodes every evening, depending how tired and how desperately I was craving more. It became an obsession to say the least. The connection I felt towards each character was probably ridiculous, but I managed to fall in love with every person on that show. I still haven’t watched season five and six, but to make up for that I’ve watched the first four twice. I feel like this is a show that makes us all feel like we’re part of something, no matter how big or small it may be. The storyline is fantastic and the singing will take your breath away every time. If you haven’t watched it, I really recommend it, it’s one of the best pick-me-ups of all time and a great way to waste your time :)

BRONZERS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE

Bronzer is a product that only recently I’ve been starting to appreciate and use correctly. For a long time I thought that it looked like dirt on my face, mainly because I didn’t actually know how to apply it, but now it’s one of my favourite parts of my daily routine. I chose these three mainly because they are the ones I prefer to use on different occasions.
Hoola by Benefit is my everyday, go-to bronzer. I use it on a daily basis, and I love the brush that comes with it as well, making it really easy to apply.

Beach Babe Bronzer by Kiko is my ‘natural, no makeup’ look. The colour is quite light, and perfect for a simple and sophisticated makeup look.

True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer by Clinique is my ‘smarter’ bronzer. I use it if I have an important event, or something I want to look extra good for, as the colour is pigmented and a beautiful shade.

All three of the bronzers are amazing, and you should try them out, if you haven’t already.  What’s your favourite bronzer? Love, Sara xx

FAVOURITE QUOTES #1

’ve always believed that quotes are the best motivation you can get. I often spend hours scrolling through Tumblr looking for perfect quotes that inspire me or represent my feelings and emotions. Gandhi and Martin Luther King are maybe two of the most influential people that have ever lived, and they definitely inspire me to be a better person.

“Change does not roll in on wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom.” Martin Luther King

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi

Marilyn Monroe on the other hand is my ‘Love Doctor’. She blessed the world with her gracious presence and taught me personally the ‘rules’ about love.

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” Marilyn Monroe

These are some other quotes that made me feel better or encouraged me to do something recently.

“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.” Jim Rohn

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken” Oscar Wilde
Hopefully these quotes have inspired you to change for the better as they did for me.
What are your favourite quotes? Have you ever heard of these ones?
