BELLA OGGI ITALIA- SKYLINE PALETTE REVIEW

If you’re looking for a palette that includes everything, this is the one for you. The Bella Oggi Italia Skyline makeup kit includes 60 shades of eye shadows, 24 lipsticks, 2 blushes and 1 bronzer.
The eye shadows are placed in a neat order, so you can see straight away what shades look amazing together. Most of them have a light shimmer, while others are a matte finish. There are mainly shades of blue and pink, with some gold and silver thrown in here and there.
The lipsticks vary in colour, focusing mainly on pink and red. There are some purples and a few clear lip glosses as well, finishing off the collection nicely.
The blushes give a lively glow and the bronzer is perfect for lighter contouring.
This is one of my favourite palettes at the moment, and I created a look to show you guys, reflecting my anxiousness for spring to come!

I find that these shades are perfect for softer and more natural looks, as the coulours are subtle and sweet.
Do you know any Italian makeup brands?

THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE-INDIA 2014

All my life I’ve wondered what good I’ve done, what’s worth remembering in the long run. If I think of it now, the first thing that comes to mind is the trip I took to India in August 2014. My parents, who are leaders of a youth group in our church in Italy, took a group of nine teenagers to India. The purpose of the trip was a mission. A mission to see other people’s lives and how some people work to change lives. My father has been a regular visitor at the Vimala Dermatology center in Mumbai for several years now, and he thought it best that we went to a place he knew and trusted. We left on the 14th August, had a stopover in Istanbul and arrived in Mumbai on the 15th. We were welcomed by the lovely Sister Bertilla, a wonderful nun from the north of Italy who has been serving God in India for many years. Her warm smile encouraged our scared teenage minds, as we looked around and saw poverty and people with nothing. At the hospital there is also a orphanage for daughters of lepers or who suffer from the illness themselves. There are only girls there, as in India they are often considered less important and they get abandoned more easily than boys. The joy we received from these children was great, and we really couldn’t believe how happy they were with hardly anything. In the days following we were brought round some slums: little villages made out of plastic and cardboard houses, than often are made out of ruins. They don’t have clean water and many days they don’t have anything to eat. On the 17th we left Mumbai to go to Rishabdev, a little village next to Udaipur, in Rajistan. We were going to stay there for ten days, in the hands of five very welcoming nuns: Sister Ramila, Sister Santoshi, Sister Glory, Sister Ignatia and Sister Marisa. They, and two priests, are in charge of the St Paul school and boarding, looking after and caring for over five hundred children. As soon as we set foot in the school grounds we felt lost, and we didn’t know if we would be able to bond with the children, as they couldn’t understand or speak any English. But soon enough we had bonded with nearly every child, big or small. We played games, taught them some words in English and Italian, and they taught us some Hindi, they’re main language. The culture there is very different, and at first it was hard to adjust. The girls are always separate from the boys, and we always had to dress with long trousers, even though it was boiling outside. I’m so happy that I got to be a part of this amazing experience, and I really recommend that you should go volunteering in a third world country, as it was most definitely the best experience of my life.

MAKE SUSHI #40

I’m not sure if any of you know, but I’m a scout.
Last year I was extremely honored to  be chosen as one of the Italian contigent’s participants at the Jamboree in August 2015. This means that I’ll be going to Japan next summer for two weeks, spending them with 35 thousand other teenagers from around the world.

In preparation for this extremely exciting date, 40 of us Italians reunited and spent a weekend together. In the evening we decided that we should try something new, so we learned to make sushi, and made a meal of it.

Although our attempts pretty much failed, I decided that from then on I would go to a sushi restaurant now and then to get used to the taste.  All in all it was great fun and I learned a new skill, so I’m pleased with it. I can’t wait till august, when I’ll actually get to taste real Japanese sushi!
Have you ever tried or made sushi?                                                                                                              And are any of you from Japan?

LANCOME-OUI! EAU DE TOILETTE REVIEW

At first sight, this 30ml container is a simple and sophisticated bottle of perfume. I tried it in the shop, and my nose was filled with a wonderful scent of spring, and for some extremely strange reason, healthiness.
It is definitely  musky, and if you have a delicate nose I do not recommend it. But yet, it is strong and passionate, as if it is ready to conquer anyone who takes a sniff at it. It’s fresh and sweet with a certain tanginess to it that adds even more fabulousness to it. And hidden underneath, is a beautiful elderflower scent that reminds me of my childhood.

It comes in a very useful makeup bag, with a mirror and the LancĂ´me logo on the front.

What’s your favourite perfume?
Love, Sara xx
